ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • We deeply regret to announce the passing of Mr. Carl Schwalm ז"ל, the father of our member Suzanne Naimark. Suzanne will be sitting shiva with her family until Friday noon, 13th of May, at the Wahl home: 4 Hadar Street, Rehovot. The number there is 08-946-3080. Suzanne's cell phone number is 052-327-6277.
    As of Thursday morning there will be no minyan since Suzanne's brother, Norman Schwalm, is returning home to Pardes Hanna

  • We wanted to thank everyone for making the Yom Haatsmaut celebration a big success. Thank you to Eliot for his wonderful musical entertainment, and thanks to all those who sent in "only in Israel" anecdotes. (we did not have time for them all but they will be posted on the internet soon.) Thanks to all the participants.

    Special Riccochet gift certificates will be given in appreciation for our new bnot sherut and Chayalim: Shira and Hodaya Nahari, Eliyav Shames, Shlomit Olami, Calanit Dym, Helene Aronheime, Chagit Schiff and Tami Gelbart...Kol Hakavod!

    Thanks to the staff headed by Tamir (Shauli and Tal) for all their hard work and thanks to Yoav and Arie for providing backup amplification!

    Finally, a very big Yeshar Koach to Chaya, Judy, Shaindy, Lynn and Aby for all their hard work putting the event together.
     
  • Annual General Meeting
    The 2011 Shul AGM has been called for 29 May at 20:30. Further information to follow.
     
  • Torah leining group  - חוג טעמי מקרא
    דוד דרורי מוכן לפתוח חוג נוסף (החמישי במספר) ללימוד טעמי המקרא לילדי ברמן בגילאי 11. 
    David Drory is ready to open another (his fifth) Torah-leining chug for 11-year-old Bermans boys.

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • Monday, May 30, the Anglo Hebrew-readers group will begin to read a new book. This is a good time to join this group. We meet every second Monday morning, 9-10:15 a.m., to read works of Hebrew literature at all levels.
