ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Mazal tov to Bryna and Paul Epstein on the birth of a grandson, a baby born to their children, Aharon and Neta Epstein, of Ramat Gan.
     
  • Leil HaAtzmaut (Monday night May 9th)
    As in recent years, we will once again be holding a communal Leil Ha'atzmaut celebration, including tefilla chagigit followed by 2 programs( for different ages) and a festive dairy meal. Full details are on the calendar (direct link).

    • Please include soldiers and national-service volunteers (who eat for free) so that we have numbers for catering
    • During the evening, gifts of appreciation will be presented to our new inductees to צה"ל and שרות לאומי. If you have a family member who did not receive a gift previously please tell Chaya, even if the name appears in our webpage of serving Bermans members. (The list is kept at http://tinyurl.com/y8ml8ut,  - you are requested to make updates directly on-line to keep the list up to date). 
    • Please send in your "only in Israel" anecdotes (for the programme).

  • Torah leining group  - חוג טעמי מקרא
    דוד דרורי מוכן לפתוח חוג נוסף (החמישי במספר) ללימוד טעמי המקרא לילדי ברמן בגילאי 11. 
    David Drory is ready to open another (his fifth) Torah-leining chug for 11-year-old Bermans boys.

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • I am a 29 year old female post-doc with epilepsy looking for a volunteer/carer to assist me in the evenings (during weekdays, approximately from 7-9.30 pm). The person I am looking for should be comfortable with epileptic seizures and dogs as I have a seizure alert support dog. Previous medical experience is not necessary.
