• Mazal tov to Judy and Victor Gaba on the engagement of their son Aaron to Moran, daughter of Sima and Yizhak Edry of Rishon LeZion.
   
• We deeply regret to announce the passing of Elsa Orchier ז"ל , the mother of our member Nettie Beer. Nettie will be sitting shiva in her home, 45 Hashomrim, until Tuesday morning, March 29. The number there is 08-945-9789. Davening times are Shacharit: 6:30 AM, Mincha: 5:45 PM, Ma'ariv: 6:20 PM.

• We deeply regret to announce the passing of Mr. Joseph Safran ז"ל, the father of our member Shmuel Safran. The funeral is scheduled for Thursday in New York. Shmuel will be returning to Rehovot on Monday and will be sitting shiva at his home, 17/2 Pinsker, from Mincha on March 28 until Shacharit Wednesday morning, March 30. The number there is 08-936-1631. Davening times are Shacharit: 7:00 AM, Mincha: 5:45 PM, Ma'ariv 6:20 PM.

• Leil HaAtzmaut (Monday night May 9th)
  As in recent years, we will once again be holding a communal Leil Ha'atzmaut celebration, including tefilla chagigit followed by 2 programs( for different ages) and a festive dairy meal. Full details are on the calendar (direct link).

• Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
  1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
  2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

• You are cordially invited to bake Shmurah Matzah from our home grown wheat. The baking will take place BS"D on Friday morning March 25, 2011, between 9:00AM and 1:00PM at the Matza Bakery of the Karlin Chassidim in Geula, Jerusalem at 24 Ovadia Street, Near Rehov Bar Ilan. There is no cost. Those of the male, female and young persuasions are most welcome. If you can come, please let me know by return email.
