ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Mazal tov to Ayelet & Dori Levy on the birth of a daughter.
     
  • We regret to announce the passing of Yaacov Meir Strauss ז"ל father of our member Adam Strauss. He will be sitting shiva in Rehovot from Thursday afternoon, 3rd Feb., until Friday (early) afternoon. The address is 5/2 Haraz, Phone 08‑9460043.
    Davening times are: Mincha: 5:00 PM, Ma'ariv: 5:40 PM, Shacharit: 6:00 AM.
    After Shabbat, shiva is in Jerusalem  until the morning of Monday 7th Feb. The address there is Sha'arei Torah 14A.

  • A memorial service for Mimi Hershkowitz ז"ל will take place on Thursday 6th of Adar Rishon, 10th February , 4:15 p.m. at the Rehovot cemetery
     
  • Yeshiva campus cleaning - part VII
    This Friday will be another cleanup of the Yeshiva campus. Same time, same place (different garbage).

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • The English-speaking Hebrew-reading group plans to start reading a new book Monday, February 14. This is a good time to join us. Based in Rehovot, we meet every second Monday, 9 a.m., for an hour of reading and discussion of modern Hebrew texts. For information, call Rosalie Brosilow 08 949 4851.
     
  • We are trying to organize 40 people to bake challah as a zchut for our dear friend who is currently undergoing his second round of chemo, battling very aggressive cancer. He is a young, married man in his late 30s and could really use tefillot and zchuyot, rachamei shamayim. If you are able to join us, baking challah with a bracha at any time this week towards Parshat Teruma, would you kindly email me at devorahsaban@gmail.com.
