ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Mazal Tov to Ellen and Charles Hexter on the Bar Mitzva of their grandson Yechiel son of Efrat and Avi Hexter. Yechiel's Bar Mitzva took place in Yerushalayim on Yom Kippur.
     

  • We regret to announce the passing of Rachel Becker z"l, mother of our member Dori Levy. The funeral is scheduled for 11:30 on Wednesday 22nd October at the Savyon Cemetery. Dori will be sitting shiva until Chag at Rehov Hagai 3, Savyon. His mobile phone number is 054-4990201.

  • Please note that till parshat Toldot, the zman kriyat shema will be after the time that the shema is said in the late minyan. Therefore all those davening in that minyan should say the shema before coming to daven.
     
  • As in previous years, our community Outreach-קהילה group (Pasifas) is working with the Matnas on the Communal Succa project. A listing of the events is included in the calendar that appears in this bulletin.
     
  • A hearty thank you to everybody who helped with the organization, preparations and conduct of the Yomim Noraim services. Kol hakavod to everybody for contributing to a great season!

      Yeshar koach to Avraham Babkoff, Nachum Babkoff, Shalom Bronner, Menashe Caplan, Avi Caspi, Arie Edelman, Dan Feigelson, Mechael Kanovsky and Josh Klein for providing excellent tefillah, kriah, tekiot, and drashot, etc. Thanks also to all those who helped set up and dismantle the room.

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • Pick up your gas masks at the Osi v'zohar auditiorium at Havayot (12:00-20:00) or in the Canyon Rehovot (12:00-20:00) until September 30. In the Canyon, on Friday from 10:00-14:00. Not open erev chag or all of Sukkot. Be sure to bring the teudat zehut for all members of your family.
