ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Kiddushim
    • Kiddushim for both days Rosh Hashana are being donated anonymously
    • The Hashkama minyan kiddush on September 11, Parshat HaAzinu, Shabbat Shuva, will be given in honor of the half-century wedding anniversary of Annice & Ira Grinberg, who were wed on September 11, 1960. Y'all come.
    • Kiddush for the main minyan on Shabbat Shuva is sponsored by the Berman Scotch Club (to show that they are interested in more than just Scotch).
       
  • Mazal Tov to Molly & Heshi Bodner on their new addition, granddaughter Tzipora. Mazal tov to the parents, Efrat & Menachem Bodner and to the entire family.
     
  • Note: Air conditioning in Parallel Minyan - The Yeshiva has installed five new air conditioners in its Bet Midrash. Congregants in the Parallel Minyan should consider bringing sweaters. 
     
  • If you know someone who will be unable to be in shul on Rosh Hashana and would like to hear the shofar, please contact one of the people below: If you can blow shofar for people who can't be in shul, please contact Dan Feigelson.
     
  • This coming Tuesday evening (14th September) there is a lecture at Berman's at 8:00 PM. Maariv will be 15 minutes earlier. The lecturer will be Rabbi David Sperling from Machon Meir. The title of the lecture is "In praise of the Yetzer Hara". The lecture will be in English. Details are in the Calendar that appears below.
     
HOSPITALITY, COMINGS & GOINGS

  • Welcome to new olim Helen & Aaron Cohen (Sidney's parents), who recently arrived in Rehovot. We wish them an easy and happy "klita".

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • Little League Baseball
    The Rehovot Little League team of the Israel Association of Baseball is looking for motivated boys and girls for the 2010-11 season. We hope to field two teams this year. One team for ages 7-9, and a more advanced team for ages 10-12. The program, which runs from October to June, includes weekly Friday practices and league games against teams from other cities such as Ra'anana, Modi'in and Jerusalem.
