ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Mazal Tov to Rebecca & Shimon Krausz on the Bar Mitzvah of their son Noam.
     
  • Mazal Tov Pearl & Marty and Herskovitz on the birth of their first grandson, and to the new parents Yael Statman & Yaakov Herskovitz.
     
  • Mazal tov to Honey & Yehuda Berenson on the birth of a greatgranddaughter. Mazal tov also to grandparents Ilana & Michael Berenson of Kedumim, and to parents Tamar & Shai Adar of Tsefat. 
     
  • A triple Mazal tov to Ruth & David Drory:
    1. On the Bat Mitzvah (in England) of their granddaughter Hallel, daughter of Avital & Alon Aron of Moshav Tekuma.
    2. On the Bar Mitzvah of their grandson Harel, son of Yael and Yoni Nadler of Moshav Beit Gamliel.
    3. On the return of their daughter Avital and family, from shlichut in England.

  • Message system: We are getting repeated errors from our attempts to deliver SMS or Voicemail messages to some members. If you have not been getting messages, it might be because we don't have your correct number. Please note that it is your responsibility to keep your directory listing up to date, and your failure to do so leads to lose, lose, lose consequences:
    1. You don't get your messages
    2. We waste the community's money sending messages to the wrong people
    3. Whoever inherited your old number is bothered by messages that are meaningless to him/her
    So please do your part by logging in to the website, checking your details, and updating them as necessary.
     
  • דברי תורה לשבת
    Rav Motti Goldreich is compiling the dvar torah list for the coming year (Bereishit 5771 to Bereishit 5772). All those who are interested in giving a dvar torah, please send Rav Motti an email at motigold@neto.net.il. If you have a preference for a certain week, please tell him that as well. As now, we will continue to publish the speakers on the "live" Google calendar that appears in this and all weekly bulletins and on the community homepage.
     
  • High Holidays 5771 and Membership Renewal  ימים נוראים תשע"א וחידוש חברות 
    • Links to the Rosh-Hashana Letter and the (revised) Seating/Membership Form (.pdf or .xls) have been placed at the top of the Bermanshul homepage. Please download and print the forms, and order your seats ASAP. The letter and forms documents will not be mailed out separately.

    • As mentioneded in the Matot-Masei bulletin, the Parallel Minyan is moving to the Yeshiva's refurbished Beit Midrash. The new venue is still a work in progress but it is coming along nicely. Here is a link to a few pictures.-- it's still a construction zone but the pictures give an idea of what the room will look like.

HOSPITALITY, COMINGS & GOINGS

  • With summer moving on and the Chagim approaching, a number of new faces have appeared in shul. Please introduce yourselves and make them welcome.

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.
