  • This Shabbat we honour visiting Bar Mitzva boy Michael Vaprinsky. Mazal Tov and welcome to the Bar Mitzva and his friends and family, including parents Mariana & Dmitri Vaprinsky (both nurses at Tel Hashomer), and grandparents Dr. Mordechai & Miriam Shrier. Mariana & Dmitri invite the congregation to Kiddush after the service.
     
  •  Rav Prof. Aryeh Frimer will deliver the annual Shabbat Hagadol drash on Shabbat between Mincha and Ma'ariv. Please bring a hagadah shel pesach.

  • Pesach
    • As every year, Berman members are entreated to share with the less fortunate in the Rehovot community through maot chitim charitable donations. Checks should be made out to “ Jacob Berman Community Center" with a notation that the funds are for the shul “keren tzedaka pessach”. The checks should be delivered to the Gabbaim or sent via mail to: the present economic malaise wrecking havoc on social welfare budgets at all levels, members are encouraged to both be generous and to make their donations as soon as possible.
       
    • A community member is sought to lead the תענית בכורות סיום בערב פסח.

    • Selling Chametz:
      • Forms can be obtained from Jerry Kriger or downloaded from metz_Sale.pdf. Completed forms may be returned to Jerry Kriger after Shacharit until 28 March.
      • You can sell your Chametz on-line via Rav Yeshayahu Rotter or via Chabad
      • Alternatively, you can go to the local Rabanut


  • The 2010 Shul AGM has been scheduled for 9 May at 8 PM

  • Comedy Workshop To all parents of kids 9th grade and up – Stand-up comedian Hani Skutch Freedman will be giving a comedy workshop free of charge. The workshop will look at the fundamentals of standup: writing jokes and performing jokes. We will also briefly define jokes and discuss well known comedians and their styles to help us develop ours.   • Registration is now open for the World Bnei Akiva, Camp Amichai, three-week summer camp happening here in Israel in July this year. The camp will be conducted in Hebrew with optional English chugim. Amichai is specifically aimed at Israelis, Olim and participants from abroad. For participants ending 4th to 9th grade. Dates are 5 to 25 July and it will be located in Mor BeAchziv on the Northern coast of Israel. Give your children those amazing camp experiences that you grew up with.
