ANNOUNCEMENTS

Mazal tov to Judy & Eli Schmell on the birth of a granddaughter, and to the parents, Ronit & Adam Feiler of Rehovot.
Congratulations to our member Dr. Yitzchak Yair on receiving this year's award for "Distinguished Educator in Religious Education". May he go from strength to strength.
Tu B’Shvat event Thursday night (28th Jan 2010)
Berman’s is co-sponsoring a Tu B’Shvat Seder with Havayyot Schweitz (Tzafon). See the calendar for details.
The annual Kabbalat Shabbat for women in memory of Rachel Garfinkel z"l will be held IY"H Friday evening, 29 January 2010/15 Shevat 5770 - Parashat BeShalach - at the Kanners - 41 HaShomrim at 17:00. If it makes life easier for anyone, those who would like to light candles at home before the regular time, "al tnai", and be driven over to arrive early, are more than welcome to do so. (Some have occasionally done this in previous years.) .

Looking for baby-sitters, aged 15 and older. Usually during the evening, when kids are asleep (!!). We have 2 daughters (ages 5 & 3). Dear Bermans members,
My daughter-in-law Rivka is looking for a position as a technical writer. She is a native speaker of English, has a BA in linguistics and an MA in Translation Studies and she recently completed an online YEDA technical communications course.
Rivka is looking to work:
- in technical writing or market communications
- at a full time or part time job
- in or out of the house.
