  • Kiddush this Shabbat is sponsored by the Kanovsky family to mark the Bar Miztva of Betzalel. Mazal tov to all the family and their guests, and of course to the Bar Mitzva boy himself.
     
  • Mazal to Nadav Dym on his engagement to Efrat Lasser from Kochav Yair. Mazal tov to Susie & David Dym and to the grandparents Irene & Harry Dym and Ruth Segel.

  • Azkara for Rachel and Lenny Garfinkel, z"l
    1. The azkarah marking Rachel Garfinkel's z"l 13th yahrzeit and Lenny Garfinkel's z"l 5th yahrzeit will take place at the Rehovot cemetery, IY"H, on Friday, 22 January 2010/7 Shevat 5770 at 10 a.m. The family thanks everyone for the continued loyalty to Rachel's and Lenny's memories over all the years. It means a lot to everyone - both here and abroad.
    2. The annual Kabbalat Shabbat for women in Rachel's z"l memory will be held the following Friday evening, IY"H, 29 January 2010/15 Shevat 5770 - Parashat BeShalach - at the Kanners - 41 HaShomrim at 17:00. .
       
  • On Sunday evening Prof. Moshe Zipor (Hanna Edelman's father) will give a lecture in Hebrew. The lecture is in memory of his daughter Vered Tal z"l. See the calendar for details and a link to texts.
     
  • Looking for Torah readers for Sefer Vayikra. Please contact Stevie Friedlander at 765832.
     
  • To all participants in the Mibereishit Chug.
    Mibereishit have come out with new albums for Chumash Sh'mot, 25 shekels each. Anyone wishing to order please contact Shimon Krausz. New participants are always welcome, open for age groups from Gan to 6th graders.
     
  • Bermans Pre-Purim Party and Talent Show: to take place Motsei Shabbat, 13th February (2 weeks before Purim) at Matnas Chavayot. For reservations and to declare your talents, please contact Rhea Israel or Chaya Tannor. All those who perform receive double scoops of ice cream! We are also looking for volunteers to organize the dessert bar for the evening.

  • Looking for baby-sitters, aged 15 and older. Usually during the evening, when kids are asleep (!!). We have 2 daughters (ages 5 & 3).
