  • The Hakamat Matzevah for our member Lillian Skolnik z"l will be held on Monday, December 28, at 4:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at the gate to the Rehovot cemetery at 3:45 PM for Mincha.
     
  • The Yahrzeit for Tommy Fried z"l will be on Sunday January 3rd (17 Tevet) at 14:00 at the Rehovot cemetery. Mincha davening to follow. Tommy was a Bermans member of long standing.
     
  • There will be a blood drive in the shul on Sunday January 3rd from 5:30-9:30 PM. Anyone who can come and donate is encouraged to do so.

    • Movie screening: Menachem and Fred - מנחם ופרד
      The Outreach committee is promoting Havayot's programme of movies on Jewish identity. The screening this Motzei Shabbat (see calendar) is of the moving documentary of two brothers who meet after not having seen each other for many years. Fred is a space engineer living in America, married to a black woman, raising his children as gentiles. Menachem is a religious Jerusalemite, a doctor of education, whose children live in settlements. At the end of the film there will be a discussion with the director, Ofra Tevet. The movie is partly in Hebrew and partly in English. Tickets are 35 NIS in advance or 45 NIS at the door. To purchase call Penina: 052-484-0521

  • Membership Directory: In the near future we plan to print and distribute a new version. The electronic (.pdf) version of the directory is updated on an ongoing basis and is available at http://bermanshul.org/restricted/membership.pdf. File access requires a username and password. Members are requested to review their listing in the current version (not the version printed over 2 years ago). Details may be updated online (preferred) or by sending e-mail to directory@bermanshul.org.
     
  • We are preparing an up-to-date list of the community members serving in צהל, to be used for regular greetings on the ~5:52 Army Radio (96.6 FM) morning greeting show. Parents and friends of our soldiers are invited to review  and correct the list on-line at:
