ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Kiddush this Shabbat is sponsored by Angie and Mike Ze'evi to celebrate a double

- on the marriage of their daughter Yael to Maayan, son of Sara and Shlomo Nachum
of Kiryat Ekron.
- on the engagement of their daughter Racheli to Eitan, son of
Dvora and Alan Rubinow of Jerusalem.
- Mazal tov to Diane and Peter Gordon on the birth of grandson, born to Hannah and
Ittai Aharon.
Mazal tov also to Ittai's parents, Yigal and Hannah Aharon.
There will be a Shalom Zachor from 8:30pm at the Gordon's, 19/2 Pinsker.
- Mazal Tov to Lynn Uram on the birth of a grandson, born to her son Amikam and
his wife Orie of Bat Ayin.

Change in
Bermanoar activities: due to low registration, the
2-day trip planned for 10-12 graders is cancelled. Instead we will go on a 1-day trip which will be open to
all Bermanoar
going into 7th grade and older. The trip will be to the Gush
Etzion area, and will include the
Herodion, Haritun cave
and a walk in water in the the Biar
aqueduct. The trip will take place on Thursday August 27. More details will

seats for Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur as soon as possible. A letter of
explanation and the seating form are available from the links below. The seating

HOSPITALITY, COMMUNITY, COMINGS & GOINGS
The community wishes to know about new arrivals or people planning to come
to Rehovot so that we can welcome them. You may send in their details for the

- A young Israeli woman, who attends a midrasha, has begun attending Bermans. She
speaks English and Hebrew and is an easy guest to have. Chaya will be glad to
introduce you at kiddush..She is looking for invitations Please call Orit

- You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community
- You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others
can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member
know, and we will put it on the calendar.

- Chaya is looking for donations for the blind lady she works with:
1) a computer screen(so that her volunteers can check what she has written)
2) a bureau (dresser)
3) a bookcase
4) a computer desk
5) a bed frame for a double bed or an orthopedic single bed
6) a fan or 2 fans
(all this stuff had been stolen from her storage space while she was in between
apartments)
7) a donation of 330 nis to pay (her 10% copayment) for an audio-diary/organizer
8) also looking for volunteers who have 20 minutes weekly who could pick her up
once a week from Gan Emunah (near Bermans) at 11 a.m. and bring her home (near
Bilu junction). Kol Hakavod!
